Works to Berkeley Business Centres
Berkeley Business Centres contacted us with regards to getting
their lifts to meet the accessibility standards of DDA EN81.
he client wanted us to refurbish the car interiors and to have
additional works to meet the standard.
e removed the existing finishes and installed part plastic
laminate, part stainless steel wall coverings, a new push station, new
ceiling panels with lighting and a new floor covering. The internal doors,
which were originally painted, were re-clad in stainless steel.
e also installed an autodial telephone system and voice enunciators to
announce floor designation. We renewed all the landing push stations
for fully DDA compliant versions and electronic detector edges to the car
doors.
e also re-sprayed all 32 landing doors, which was carried
out in the evenings to avoid inconvenience.
